Our crew take you to Tasman Island - a lightstation, steeped in natural and human history. Craig (skipper) is the son of one of Tasmania’s last kerosene light keepers, and has first hand experience living on several isolated light stations. Seacaves and Seacliffs Hold onto your hats as our skilled skippers manoeuvre the Encounter within touching distance of towering seacliffs reaching 300m, the highest in Australia. Be in total awe as we take you right inside stunning seacaves sculptured by Mother Nature over millions of years. One of the formations we call ‘The Hole in the Rock’ can be passed through in good conditions at high speed! Chill Out We anchor in Fortescue Bay for a relaxing break to take in the tranquil forests that border the bay, inhabited by mighty sea eagles nesting nearby. See the macrocystis kelp forests – the fastest growing plant in the world, and check out the old shipwreck. Enjoy a drop of Tasmanian Wine accompanied by locally smoked Seafood Nibbles
