We advise suitable clothing must be worn, comfortable clothing, long pants, a short sleeved top and a warm jacket. Sturdy footwear suitable for walking (short walks only).

What to bring:
A light backpack with shower proof jacket and bottle of water is recommended. A camera or video camera is highly recommended. Note: all food and refreshments are supplied.

Pickup/departure instructions:
Full Day eco tour includes pick up from your accommodation within the township of Stanley at 9am, and return around 5.30pm. Please advise your accommodation when booking. Platypus and Penguin Tour departure times vary from month to month (around 1.5 hours prior to dusk). Advise accommodation and confirm departure time the day prior to the Platypus and Penguin tour by contacting us using the details provided on your booking confirmation.

Tour Description

Luxury 4 wheel drive eco tour. This tour covers around 270km, exploring the Tarkine, Australia's last wild rainforest, as well as the wild West Coast, all in one fantastic and memorable day. Everything is included for your days enjoyment - home baked morning tea, a sumptuous gourmet 3 course lunch with Tasmanian wines, served in the midst of a Myrtle rainforest, pure Tasmanian bottled water and juices. The rainforests visited during the day are just spectacular, in fact breathtaking - with a touch of excitement and adventure when reaching the wild West Coast later in the day. The tour operates from Stanley, Tasmania on request for a minimum of 2 adults. Stanley is a beautiful, historic seaside village on the far North West Tip of Tasmania, with the buildings nestled under the famous "Nut". The town offers superb accommodation, cafes, restaurants and galleries.
Wilderness to West Coast Tours also offer Platypus and Penguin tours - Tasmania (see separate tour). Small groups are transported to private property to view Platypus and Little Penguins in the wild with experienced and fun guides.
