Tour Description

Kangaroo Island 2 day RTV Wildlife Safari

Our wildlife commitment

Our guides are committed to finding as much native wildlife as they can in the 2 days, and then providing you with a wealth of information. We see all wildlife in the wild and are one of the few tours who can take you on a private beach walk at Seal Bay instead of a ranger guided tour. Expect to see Kangaroos, Wallabies, Australian Sea Lions, New Zealand Fur Seals, Platypus (in season), Echidnas, Southern Right Whales (in season), Koalas, Dolphins, Brush Tailed Possums, Penguins, Goannas (in season), Cockatoos and lots more.

Our wildlife activities include nocturnal walks, wild penguin viewing on a remote beach (not a penguin parade) and platypus viewing at black swamp lagoon(in season).

Activities :

Native Wildlife Viewing
Nocturnal Walks
Small Groups (max 13)
Hiking up to 8km
Surfing (summer)
Private Charter Boat (dolphin spotting)
Quad Biking (optional)
Swimming
Snorkeling
Sandboarding

Private Charter Boat.

They get you to and from Kangaroo Island for the 2 day tour, we use a private charter boat, (if too rough we use the ferry), this allows us to get to the island quicker as this boat is not only faster, but we have greatly reduced loading time.

The best thing about the Charter boat however is the ability to see dolphins, the body of water between Kangaroo Island and the mainland is full of dolphins and we often see them from the boat. It's a fantastic experience sitting on the front of the boat when a pod of dolphins joins in and swims with the boat, at this point you are literally metres from the dolphins as they jump and play n the water.

Accommodation.
All year round we stay in a private Bush Cottage with spectacular veiws of the surrounding bush and cliffs of the coast.cottage is located on a 500 acre bush property at Vivone Bay on the South West coast of the island, it borders Cape Kersaint Conservation Park and has access to private coast and beaches. The cottage has bunks in 2 rooms, a kitchen, common area with large open fire, an outdoor campfire and BBQ area and shower and toilet. It’s cosy and warm in the winter, cool in the summer and whole property supports an abundance of Native Wildlife.

Kangaroo Island is a fantastic place. The island is famous not only for it's Kangaroos but for it's fantastic coastal scenery, crystal clear oceans alive with Dolphins, Sea Lions, Seals and Penguins, it's eucalyptus forests full of Koalas, Possums, Echidnas, rare Tammar Wallabies and of coarse Kangaroos and the elusive platypus.

The two most popular places on the island are Seal Bay and Remarkable Rocks. As well as visiting these amazing places, our longer trip and 4WD /ATV also gives us the time and ability to explore the rest of the island and that's what makes Campwild special.

It's an active trip with plenty of hiking and swimming, we carry snorkels and masks for swimming (if you're lucky the dolphins join in) and sand boards for some extreme action at a place called Little Sahara. There's also the option to do some quad bike tours (in season) from one of our campsites

It's a small group (max 13) so you don't get lost in the crowd and group involvement is encouraged in everything we do. The food is good and healthy and there's plenty of it.
