Advanced Open Water Program...

There are 2 core dives where you will learn underwater navigation and deep diving. Then 3 elective dives plus your initial checkout dive will complete the 6 dive program. Electives may be...

* night diving
* drift diving
* peak performance buoyancy
* search and recovery
* underwater naturalist
* underwater photography
* wreck diving and others.

No exam !
We often say this program packs
about 2 years of diving experience into just one weekend. You get to sample 5 different specialty programs as each dive can lead on to
a weekend specialty course in that area. Your confidence increases considerably as each new diving environment is explored and carefully supervised by your experienced instructor.
And why is it Pro Dive’s most popular program ? There’s no exam!
Course format...
Thursday at 6pm for a classroom session at Pro Dive Milton. You’ll see an advanced diving video and hand in your completed work from the Advanced manual. Please have prepared the knowledge reviews for navigation, deep, wreck, drift, naturalist, night and peak performance buoyancy. Five of these will be selected for your advanced dives depending on conditions and dive sites. Friday night 7pm arrive at Newport Waterways, Griffith Rd, Scarborough for the weekend trip (live-aboard option).
After course completion...
Live-aboard option - head down to Pro Dive by 6pm Thursday for your course graduation night.

Course details
Cost... $499
Age...minimum 15 years or 12 years for Junior Advanced
Dive medical...within 12 months
Required equipment...full snorkeling and scuba kit (hire available at half price) plus dive knife, torch, light stick, safety sausage, whistle, slate (no hire)
Included...tuition, tank, airfills, PADI Crew Pack worth $75, certification, meals and any extra dives on live-board boat, course graduation night.
Not included... cost of dive medical, one photo for certification card, dive equipment (hire available at half price), transport around Brisbane (discuss with instructor).
Recommendation...if you have not dived for some months you should complete a refresher program before the first dive of your advanced course. Dive 1 will be an orientation dive to check out your buoyancy, air consumption, confidence, skill level and ability to follow a dive plan.
