Tour Description

Brisbane is Australia's third largest city - with only Melbourne and Sydney being larger. Brisbane's estimated resident population in 2004 was 1.77 million. This morning tour provides a great overview or the city centre and surrounding suburbs. Hear about the history of our beautiful city and see why people love to call Brisbane home.

Visit Kangaroo Point and Bartley's Lookouts where you will have a fantastic birds eye view of this subtropical capital. Brisbane is rich in history and this tour will take you past many historical and significant architectural buildings, including City Hall, Parliament House, St Johns Cathederal, Treasury Casino and China Town.

Enjoy morning tea by the river at the Breakfast Creek Hotel and explore the grounds of Newstead House, Queensland's oldest residence with its wide colonial verandahs overlooking the river. (The house is open for tours Monday to Friday, entry own expense)

Your tour concludes at South Bank Parklands with over 17 hectares of lush gardens and lawns, you can take a stroll on the Clem Jones Promenade next to the Brisbane River or enjoy a meal at one of the many eateries.
