Tour Description

Your PAMAGIRRI ABORIGINAL EXPERIENCE has three segments:

THE DREAMTIME WALK - Take an Aboriginal culture tour with our Pamagirri guides. Stroll through a 130 metre covered walkway styled on the Rainbow Serpent, the mythical creator of all the mountains, valleys and rivers. Your guide will provide boomerang throwing demonstrations and lessons, after which, you can test your own skills. The area is specially netted as boomerangs DO return! There's also spear throwing demonstrations, where you'll be amazed at the distance the guides can throw their spears using a Woomera.

PAMAGIRRI CULTURAL CENTRE - Amid an extensive display of traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dwellings, artefacts and art, the Pamagirri guides talk about their traditional culture, and demonstrate the didgeridoo. You can also purchase your very own authentic artefacts, artwork, boomerangs, and didgeridoos.

THE PAMAGIRRI CORROBOREE - The Pamagirri Dancers perform traditional dances about hunting, food gathering and other aspects of their culture, accompanied by didgeridoo and clapsticks. During the performance, members from the audience will be invited to join the troupe onstage for an interactive dance experience. Their amphitheatre has walls of rainforest, a large protective canopy, tiers of comfortable wooden seats, and seats 400 with wheelchair access available. The dance programme is available in 14 different languages.
