Tour Description

Your Mareeba “wetlands wildlife wine” tour takes you up the Great Dividing Range through World Heritage rainforest. Learn about the diversity of the highland area - the history, industry and people - from an experienced local tour guide.

Jaques Coffee Plantation
After a Coffee Movie in the theatrette and a tour of the plantation in a safari truck, enjoy a delicious morning tea and a cup of fresh aromatic coffee, made with beans that have been grown, processed, roasted and packed on the plantation. Sample some delectable Coffee Liqueur.

Granite Gorge
Surrounded by gigantic granite rocks and boulders, you may feed a colony of wild Rock Wallabies.

Mareeba Heritage Museum
The Centre has an extensive Aboriginal cultural display, a settler's hut showcasing historical memorabilia, turn-of-the-century telephone exchange, a printing press and a motor rail ambulance.
There are also displays on mining, forestry, tobacco, agriculture and the Wet Tropics. The wet tropics display features a cassowary (the flightless rainforest bird), other bird life and rainforest vegetation.

Mareeba
Lunch is provided in the restaurant of a delightful Australian country hotel. Choose from Rump Steak, Chicken Schnitzel or Grilled Fish.

Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve
From the Visitor Centre you will take an electric boat trip on the lagoon.
The Mareeba Wetlands protects over 5000 acres of savannas and wetlands, providing a sanctuary for much of tropical Australia's savanna and wetland flora and fauna.
With over 200 recorded bird species and many savanna mammals, the Reserve is a bird watcher's paradise and the perfect place to get a taste of the Outback.

Golden Pride Winery
Located just outside Mareeba, Golden Drop is the brand name for a versatile range of still and sparkling white wines with extremely delicate fruity flavours produced from the sweet flesh of the Kensington Red by Golden Pride Wineries.
You will join locals and tourists from all over the world who have visited the winery for the unique experience of visiting a working mango plantation, and to sample their lovely refreshing tropical Mango Wines, together with Citrus Cellos, Mango Port, and Golden Mango liqueur style wine.
