Please note that there is a compulsory $25 Aviation Levy per person payable on the day of travel.
Mareeba passengers are collected for the tour by the balloon pilots who arrive onsite before Cairns based passengers.
- Able to be purchased/hired:
- Hot Air is the only operator offering a roving photographer to take a snap of you AND also digital inflight photos for purchase immediately on the day. Please note that there is a compulsory additional Aviation Insurance levy of $25 per person payable direct to the supplier on the day of travel.
- What to bring:
- Hat, Ticket, camera, flat shoes (running shoes or similar) and avoid light coloured clothing as we'll be hoping to tempt you into the fun of packing up the balloon with us at the end of your flight.

- Children aged 0-3yrs may not fly but may accompany in the vehicle at no charge. Please note on booking so we may allocate flights accordingly. Children 4-13 years are charged at th child price plus the Insurance Levy, 14 years and above attracts adults pricing.

- Pickup times vary with the season (04:55am Winter, 4:40am Summer - please reconfirm 24hrs prior to travel by calling 07 4039 9900). Meet at the Mareeba Heritage Centre opposite the Jackaroo Motel and our experienced pilots and crew will pick you up on their way to the Balloon Launch site. Two thirty minute Balloon flights will commence then a Hot & Cold Buffet breakfast with Complimentary Champagne to celebrate the flight. Drop off back to the Mareeba Heritage Centre will be approximately 9am.
