Tour Description
This Eco Tour is popular with all ages from Backpackers, family to elderly. We guarantee a fantastic, informative and fun day out which is suited to many.
The tour departs from Cairns & covers the Southern Tablelands from The Rainforest Wildlife cruise at Lake Barrine volcanic crater lake through to the Curtain Fig tree at Yungaburra, then on to world famous Millaa Millaa Falls, the Tableland's most spectacular water fall.
This is followed by cheese tasting and a delicious 2 course hot lunch at The Mungalli Creek Organic Bio Dynamic Dairy.
We then proceed to visit the spectacular Crawfords Lookout on the scenic Palmerstone Highway passing tea. banana & sugar cane plantations on route to Beautiful Paronella Park.
While at the Park you will walk through 13 acres of rainforest garderns viewing the historical 'Spanish Castles' ruins built by Hosea Paronella over seventy years ago adjacent to Mena Creeks falls.
Departing Paronella Park the tour then travels through the town of Innisfail before arriving at the Babinda Boulders situated in the World Heritage Listed Wooroonooan National Park which is shrouded in aboriginal myth & legend.
There is time for a guided & informative rainforest walk among the giant granite boulders followed by afternoon tea before travelling back to Cairns via the township of Babinda with its historical sugarmill.
Enroute to Cairns the tour passes Spectacular Walsh's Pyramid (Aboriginal name-Darragun) standing 922 metres high.
