Tour Description

Our desination, the magnificent white quartzite dome of Frenchman's Cap rises 1443 metres ove the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. Our journey begins by crossing the Franklin River, over button grass plains and through rainforest to the beautiful Lake Tahune nestled below the Cap's towering 450 metre south face. From here it is a couple of zig zags and a scramble or two where we are rewarded by spectacular summit views. We then retrace our steps back to the Franklin River and coach journey home.
