Guests are requested to wear closed toe shoes and to take a sweater/light jacket as it does get chilly in the rainforest at night.
Disabled access by prior arrangement.

Pickup/departure instructions:
We pick up from all Port Douglas,Palm Cove,Northern Beaches and Cairns Hotels and resorts. With the bus and limousine option from Port Douglas pick up is at 10.15-They will have two hours free time in Cairns before we pick up the guests at a pre arranged spot at 2.00pm. With the limousine both ways option, the drop off time is in time for the pickup, unless otherwise arranged. The transfer cost is in addition to the tour cost. If you require transport from Port Douglas, please book the appropriate optional extra. Palm Cove/Northern Beaches Pick up is at 13.15 Cairns Pick up is 13.45-14.00 Please be ready 15 minutes prior to pick up time. Tour Description

This is the best tour for experiencing a great range of native Australian tropical wildlife in its' habitat-"an unforgettable natural experience".
The tour heads inland and up to the Atherton Tablelands via the Gilles Highway south of Cairns. We visit a scenic crater Lake and a magnificent strangler fig tree both of which are great birding areas for short walks and for afternoon tea before platypus viewing (we see platypus 95% of the time),dinner and then venture into the permit controlled National Parks to spot a wonderful array of native wildlife that can include rare possums that do not survive in captivity(there are 5 different species in this area) ,Flying Foxes, Bandicoots, Boyd’s Forest Dragons, snakes, Musky Rat Kangaroos, Betongs, Pademelons, Frogs, Tree Kangaroos, owls… and in the wet season we see luminous fungi and glow worms as well .

We are environmentally accredited and do not feed or encourage the wildlife in any way –merely observe it.
Our experienced and knowledgeable guides help guests learn to spot wild Australian iconic wildlife in the tropical rainforest and delight all with their enthusiasm for the critters and environment.
We have supper before returning to Cairns at approx midnight.
