Hire a car and self drive to the Jabiru Safari Lodge at Mareeba Tropical Savanna & Wetland Reserve and retain your flexibility and independant touring.

Located just over an hour from Cairns, Mareeba Wetland Reserve is a 2000 hectare wildlife wonderland. Visitors can indulge in birdwatching, bushwalking on over 12km of marked trails, eco-cruising, sunset safaris, canoeing or fly-fishing.

Overnight accommodationis in up-market African-style safari tents at Jabiru Safari Lodge featuring private en-suites and verandas, comfortable beds and sunset views. All tents have a private timber verandah, with a BBQ and tables & chairs perfect for bird watching, reading or enjoying a glass of champagne as the sun sets over Clancy's Lagoon. "Outback with a touch of class!"

To ensure you can relax at the end of an active day, a heated spa tub provides a great secluded retreat. A limited mini-bar facility is available in each cabin. Clancy’s Lagoon Visitor Centre offers visitors delicious snacks and lunches.

Included in this package is the popular sunset safari, acoomodation, dinner and continental breakfast, Conservation Pass with access to 12km of marked walking trails plus complimentary membership of the Wildlife Conservancy of Tropical Queensland.
