We would like to introduce you to one of the most amazing places on earth, on one of the world's most renown and spectacular whitewater rafting rivers. This 3 day journey is designed to immerse you in the beauty, magic, and culture of the Australian High Country. It combines incredible whitewater, unparalleled river gorge scenery, high country pub accommodation, fine food and of course interaction with locals and a yarn or two.
The activities on our trip range from relaxing to heart-pounding, and can be enjoyed by those looking for the big adrenaline rush or those looking for total relaxation in one of the worlds most beautiful landscapes. Each evening you'll relax at one of two High Country Hotels, The Historic Blue Duck Inn is renowned for its excellent accommodation, wholesome local food and quality wines and the recently renovated Benambra Hotel

Day One

Highlights
• 10km of grade 2 to 3 (easy) whitewater thrills through exquisite wilderness

The first day of all our river Journeys is about you! You the river and confidence. RYou are introduced to rafting on 10kms of gentle yet challenging whitewater. As we are passionate about our profession we love to offer our clients that little bit extra and after over 30 years paddling the Mitta we will have you relaxed and enjoying this amazing wilderness environment in no time. You will also have the opportunity to attempt guiding and if you would like to step up the adrenaline you can paddle an inflatable kayak!

An Evening to chill out or party on!
The Blue Duck Inn is a traditional country pub, filled with memories of yester year, an open fire and a veranda overlooking the Cobungra River. The relaxed atmosphere, wholesome local food and wine and great Aussie humour are always recipes for nights to remember.

Day Two

• 18km of grade 2 and 3 (moderate) whitewater thrills through the Mitta Mitta gorge.

The Mitta Mitta boasts one of the highest ‘put-ins’ in Australia at 680m in elevation. This river packs a serious punch. The continuous grade 2-3 rapids make for a wild descent off the Great Divide. Plummeting between intricate rock formations for 18km will certainly ensure your adrenalin hits overdrive. You’ll tackle grade 2 and 3 rapids such as Pin Ball, Graveyard, the ‘S’ bend, Bump and Grind, Big Stopper, Dislocation, The waterfall, Gobbler and Three plus. These technical rapids require many manoeuvres and are guaranteed to test the skills of the most experienced rafters.

Day Three
An adrenalin-pumping whitewater adventure

Highlights
• Grade 2-4 (moderate to adventurous) rapids
• Raft 10 km of some of the world’s best technical grade 4 rafting
• To date, only a handful of people have rafted this section of the river
• 1 hour powerboat tour through breathtakingly scenic remote wilderness
• Snacks and hearty lunch on the river

Experience the mystery
The ‘Mystery Gorge’ is the steepest and most technical continuous grade 4 whitewater on the entire Mitta Mitta River! The serene alpine vistas, calm water and incredibly exposed stalactites and stalagmites at the start of your journey are quickly contrasted as the Gibbo River merges. The Mitta Mitta narrows to half its width and drops 75m in the first 4 km! The big drops start at Devils Gate, and continue through numerous incredible whitewater challenges such as Cemetery Bend, The triple stager, Flipster, The terminator and Needles eye!

Majestic untouched wilderness
The Mystery Gorge is charged with high-intensity continuous whitewater and punctuated by the incredible scenery of this extremely remote and rarely-visited area. The region is so remote, that until recently, it had never been run commercially. As the pioneer rafters of this river section, we named it the “Mystery Gorge” and remain the only company rafting this part of the river.
Upon reaching the calm water below the rapids, powerboats wait for us. Climb aboard for a relaxing and scenic journey back to civilization.
