I like to start early for reef trips. Beginning with a pick up at 6-6.15am and returning to Cairns at approx. 3.30-3.45 pm

Reef Fishing on the Great Barrier Reef is surely one of the most productive days to be had in the local region.
We begin the day with the collection of live bait. This is done by castnetting or by using bait jigs.
Then its time for the fun!!!
Travelling time can vary depending on location and current weather conditions on the day.
Fishing for Coral Trout,Nannygai,Red Emperor,Fingermark,Spanish Mackerel,Gts,Sailfish,Cobia,Tuna and other species.
We believe that we offer a more personalised service and give the client a far greater chance of success.
Fish that are to be consumed will be cleaned and iced to keep it in pristine condition.
Your guide will give you the benefit of his 18 years of guiding experience in local waters.
The vessel "HOOKER" is a 6m custom built boat with all top quality electronics,tackle,outriggers and downrigger.
We cater for novice anglers through to experienced.
Cairns River & Reef Fishing Charters is an owner operated business,give yourself a chance and fish with the locals who know.
Rates: Full day reef fishing $860 (boat price, 1-4anglers)
