Just 45 minutes across the Coral Sea from Cairns aboard Great Adventures modern fast catamaran and you are a world away on Green Island - a beautiful 6000 year old coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef. With its unique reef and rainforest environment, it’s a nature lover’s paradise.

With the choice of three daily departures from Cairns (8:30am, 10:30am, 1pm), the GREEN ISLAND ECO ADVENTURE is perfect for visitors with limited time, offering a half or full day experience. You will have a choice of inclusions, and with a range of exciting optional activities, you can even design your day at your own pace.

Choose your way to experience the reef – stay dry in a glass bottom boat coral viewing tour or choose snorkelling equipment to swim and snorkel directly from the white sandy beaches.

As a Great Adventures guest, you’ll also be able to enjoy many exclusive inclusions such as the use of the island swimming pool and a self guided eco island walk to discover some of the island’s unique rainforest flora. The island’s well appointed day visitor facilities include a pool bar, plus refreshment and retail outlets.

This is the fastest trip to Green Island and that means more time for you to enjoy this beautiful island - you can spend up to 7 hours in tropical paradise!

If you’d like to snorkel more, you can join a boat snorkel trip to one of the best dive and snorkel sites just a few minutes offshore from the island (additional cost). Or if you prefer, just relax on the white coral sand beaches.

For the more adventurous, there’s a wide range of optional activities to experience. Scuba dive, join a snorkel excursion, and even walk underwater with Seawalker helmet diving. For an exhilarating top-side perspective of the reef, there’s parasailing and scenic helicopter flights too! There’s even the Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat with daily crocodile shows.
