Tour Description
Departing Perth CBD at 8am with Features Tours coach. Travelling through the Swan Valley up the darling scarp to Gidgegannup (aboriginal name for place of spears). Then onto Toodyay one of the oldest historic towns in WA, for a brief toilet stop and then a 25 minute drive to wide acre farming and joining the farmer, who will feed all his open range animals at 10am in the morning. This is includes the 400 cattle, 300 sheep, 100 pigs, goats, shetland ponies and chooks. With a refreshing drink served on the farmers verandah.
Boshack is next stop to be welcomed by damper scones jam and cream before pulling freshwater crayfish(yabbies) nets.
A 150 metre bushwalk through the fascinating melalucca paperbark trees past a very old historical well and then into a Aboriginal Dreaming area for some pioneer, aborigine stories, bush chocolate and to play the didgeridoo.
A typical Australian farm sheep discussion around the sheep yards and how the flock is handled for shearing (haircuts).
A small journey deeper into the outback to be finally transported by a tractor drawn hay road. This is essential to preserve the pristine eco environment.
A bushwalk (approx 200 metres) through abundance of wildflowers in season banksia's and sheok trees and then to experience bushtucker (kangaroo, crocodile, emu) and bush sauces.
The walk continues until all of a sudden you have what some say is mystique, others say unique and others say amazing, we find its just not the view but the feeling it leaves in ones inner self.
A canoe ride adds to the relaxing environment in exhausting some energy in preparing for the BBQ to follow.
A Bushmans egg and a Real Aussie BBQ followed by feeding the kangaroos and just soaking up the energy that comes from this location.
