- FREE Pick-Up and Return to YOUR DOOR, boogie boards for swimming are supplied FREE, delicious B-B-Q lunch on the beach is provided, morning tea is provided for you, Whale watching from the best Lookouts on the Island, beautiful views of Amity Point, beach driving (Look for fish in the waves!), pickup shells or other ornaments on the beach, lots of bird life for you to see, all Council Permits and Fees, see the historical cattle dip, look for lobsters at Myora.

- Sunscreen of your choice, your swimming costumes, sunglasses and a Hat, a dry towel, camera, A BIG Smile!

Tour Description
“Straddie Kingfisher Tours” started over 10 years ago now because Dave and Margaret Thelander have such a passion for the Island. We wanted to show this Paradise to the World in a sustainable way. So we have been providing 4WD Eco Tours on this Island since we started. People have commented that this is the “best day we have had in OZ!” and alike comments are to many to count. Each and every customer provides us with something different and unique just like Straddie does for them. They learn about all the different cultures and the vast amount of history we have here, learn about the wildlife and the beautiful flora we have on this Island.
07.15am Pick up outside your hotel in Brisbane or Gold Coast (this time needs to be a little flexible as we may need to go to other hotels to pick more customers up as well) Please add your accommodation in he space provided on the booking form and we will send you a pick up time.
07.30am Start the drive to Cleveland to board vehicular ferry
09.00am Board vehicular ferry and cross Moreton Bay arriving in Dunwich (we have morning tea on the ferry trip across Moreton Bay)
09.45am Arrive in Dunwich and drive to Brown Lake for freshwater swimming and/or photographs, commentary
10.30am Leave Brown Lake and head east to Main Beach
10.45am Driving experience along Main Beach and stop to get sand between our toes and or more photos and swimming if you wish
11.20am Back in 4WD vehicle and go north to Point Lookout
11.30am Go to Point Lookout North Gorge for the “Gorge Walk” where there is a likelihood of spotting turtles, dolphins, manta rays and sharks as well as humpback whales in season (June to November each year) We do have 1000 resident dolphins in this area.
12.15pm Leave North Gorge and go to Flinders Beach for our BBQ on the beach for lunch. Whilst I am making the BBQ customers can use the frizzbies, boogie boards (FREE) or take more photos, sunbake or just simply relax.
12.40pm Lunch is served. (Steak, salad, pineapple, beetroot and a fruit drink)
13.00pm After lunch the customers can go for a walk, more shell collecting ect. whilst I pack up the BBQ items and put them back on the vehicle.
13.30pm We leave our BBQ site on Flinders Beach and go to Amity Point where we hopefully see our friendly Koalas and stop to take photos of them
13.45pm Stop at Amity for walk along jetty
14.00pm Leave Amity Point and drive to Dunwich terminal
14.30pm Board vehicular ferry for return journey to Cleveland
15.20pm Drive off ferry and go to Indigiscapes for our “Bush Tucker” experience.
15.40pm Arrive and greeted at Indigiscapes. Sit down to a tasting of Kangaroo, Crocodile. Lemon Tea, Lilly Pilly Jam and all sorts of wild seeds and spreads
16.15pm Leave Indigiscapes for return to your hotel we picked you up from.
17.15pm Arrive at your Hotel with many lasting memories of our Day in Paradise!
