You’ll start your morning with an enlightening journey through the historically significant town of Guildford. This quaint little town is one of only two towns in Perth on the National Trust register and has many wonderful examples of colonial buildings that still grace its elegant streets to this day. Guildford is one of the gateways to the agriculturally rich Swan Valley, travelling past Perth’s Pearce Air Force Base through the beautiful district of Bindoon to reach intriguing New Norcia.

This fascinating area was first settled in 1846 and utilised as a mission for the Indigenous peoples of the region and is now Australia's only monastic town, known for the Mediterranean feel of its Spanish architecture. Immerse yourself in the culture and history of the Indigenous people and our early European heritages. A very informative guided tour through St Gertrudes and a leisurely stroll through one of this area’s oldest churches will leave you a little wiser and give you a much better insight and appreciation of the tenacity of the Indigenous and early European inhabitants.

After this lovely little interlude, why not have an aromatic coffee and a delicious freshly baked cake, or light as a feather scone or two. You will then have a wonderful opportunity to purchase fresh perfectly ripened fruit, crisp wines, smooth olive oil, delicious New Norcia nut cake and mouth-watering fresh breads, all made by the local Benedictine Community. Maybe you would like to learn a little bit more about this fascinating area and prefer to visit the local museum and art gallery.

From here, it’s off to visit the spectacular Western Wildflower Farm for an interesting and informative talk on how these unique, colourful Australian wildflowers are delicately harvested, expertly dried and exported. After enjoying a sumptuous, restorative lunch, you’ll continue on the road through some spectacular scenic countryside to the fishing village of Cervantes. This little town is known for the highly prized Rock Lobster caught by the local fisherman and consumed heartily by lucky travellers. Afterwards, you’ll travel into the magnificent Nambung National Park, which is home to the mystical, rich rugged majesty of the Pinnacles Desert. Your driver guide will take you on an easy stroll through some very special places in this beautiful panorama, where you can peruse and appreciate the brilliantly sculptured limestone monoliths of nature’s handiwork.

Additional stops to view in season wildflowers will be made on your way back home between the months of September and November. You will arrive back in Perth at approximately 7:30 pm, where you will be taken to your original pickup location.
