  • Spectacular views
  • Guided or self guided tours of the island & its history
  • Great wildlife including the wonderful Quokkas

Rottnest Island is only 11 km long and 4 km wide but don't let the size fool you! There is so much natural beauty to see, enjoy and experience that you won't believe it is all on one small island. Rottnest Island is surrounded by beautiful clear blue water, 63 sandy beaches and 20 calm bays. You will find coral reefs and amazing sea life due to shipwrecks and rock pools. The island is not all about the sea, the island's interior contains a number of stunning landscape settings, including the serene pink coloured, shallow salt lakes. A number of 1800s colonial buildings that add to the allure of the island and the quaint village atmosphere means you'll always feel welcome.

During your visit to the island, you will have to choose from a large number of activities. Some of the activates are swimming, snorkelling, diving, cycling, walking tours, guided tours, and many more. A history tour and visit to the island's many museums will give you an insight into the island's past, while an exploration of the island's tunnels beneath the WWII gun emplacement or a climb up the lighthouse will leave you surprised how important Rottnest Island was.

The island is famed for its population of the rare Quokka, so keep your eyes peeled for this adorable little marsupial. The island is also home to Australian sea lions, southern fur seals, dolphins and a number of rare or endangered birds, just to name a few.

At the end of your exciting day full of activities on Rottnest Island, you'll re-board the ferry at 16:30 and be returned to Hillarys Boat Harbour at approximately 17:15.
