Departs from & returns to Alice Springs. Departs: approx 8.00am Daily (Jun – Oct) and approx 7.30am Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat & Sun (Nov – May) from Alice Springs. Returns: 6.00pm approximately to Alice Springs.
Fitness level required:
Children under 24months (2yrs) of age, are classified as infants and travel free of charge. Children under the age of 7 years will be restrained in a baby pod or child seat (this is mandatory by law from 1 Feb 2013). Child prices apply to children between the ages of 2 and 15 years inclusive.
Note: Access to Hermannsburg may be restricted during the Christmas and New Year period.
Pensioner Fares apply to Australian and New Zealand Pension Card holders, Australian Senior Card holders, and full-time Australian Students.
West MacDonnell Ranges and Palm Valley

This one day 4WD safari travels through the West MacDonnell Ranges to Hermannsburg, an Aboriginal community and historic precinct which is renowned for its Aboriginal art collection and the works of Albert Namatjira.
Either morning or afternoon tea is provided in Hermannsburg.
Travel down the bed of the Finke River, one of oldest water courses in the world, into Palm Valley.
See spectacular rock forms, white sands and an oasis of rock pools and palm trees.
Some plants such as the cycad and 'Livistonia Mariae' (cabbage palm) are known world-wide as relic plants and are unique to Central Australia.
Visit the spectacular rock formation known as the Ampitheatre. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the Finke Gorge National Park.
On the return journey, relax and enjoy the changing colours of the magnificent West MacDonnell Ranges in the afternoon light.
Note: There may be restricted access to Hermannsburg and the Aboriginal Art Gallery during the Christmas/New Year Holiday period.
