This indulgent full-day tour takes you on a journey through five Barossa Valley Château’s, tasting the region’s best wine varietals along the way. With a delicious lunch and a visit to the Whispering Wall included, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a tour as perfect as this!

  • Comfortable transport takes you through the beautiful Southern Barossa Valley region
  • Visit five select Château wineries over the course of the day, admiring the architecture and grounds, as well as learning the history of each
  • Sample delicious wines all day long, from some of Barossa’s top producers
  • Indulge in a delicious lunch and visit the Whispering Wall

With pickup from your Adelaide or Glenelg accommodation, you’ll board your comfortable tour transport and head out of the city, on your way to the beautiful Southern Barossa Valley region. Your fist stop of the day will be at Château Tanunda the oldest Château in Australia, dating back to 1890. This stunning Château is also the country’s largest and their handcrafted wines are a must-taste within the region – and taste you shall! With gorgeous hill-fringed surroundings, including a basket press winery, neat vineyards and beautiful gardens, this iconic winery is the ideal introduction to Australia’s finest wine region and has the perfect atmosphere from which to indulge in some wine tasting.

1847 Wines (AKA Yaldara Estate) was established in 1947 and – like many of the Château’s in the Barossa Valley – its origins are German. This spectacular Château is recognised as one of the most attractive and remarkable wineries within the region, and as such, its varietals of wines, ports and fortified wines – particularly its signature Shiraz – are just as appealing.

Your visit to Kellermeister Wines will invoke memories of childhood with its warm, friendly atmosphere. This family-owned and run estate is flanked by rolling hillside and its mud brick cellar door adds to the peaceful ambience. With a delicious variety of wines to sample, your tastebuds will be on cloud nine by the time you move on to the next winery!

The gorgeous Te-Aro Estate is another family-run affair, with a welcoming ambiance to match. Set amidst a verdant and gently undulating vista, this Château ripe their grapes nice and slowly, resulting in wines that burst with fruity goodness and strong character. Their signature wines are an absolute delight and you’ll want to take some home for yourself, by the time you’ve finished tasting them.

For lunch, you’ll eat adjacent to one of these amazing Château’s, selecting from a mouth-watering menu and washing it all down with a matching wine. Finally, before returning to Adelaide, you’ll visit the amazing whispering Wall – a man made dam whose curved shape means you can hear a whisper from one side to the other, despite its 140-metre length. You’ll be returned to your original pickup location at around 5:30 pm.
