Treat yourself to the best of both worlds on this two-day tour from Adelaide to Melbourne. From the rugged bush terrain of natural rock formations, lakes and falls in the Grampians National Park to the spectacular seascape of gorges and natural wonders along the Great Ocean Road, this tour is for the nature-loving traveller. The photo opportunities will run into the 100's!

  • Explore Grampians National Park (Gariwerd) and soak up the stunning views of Victoria Valley from the vantage point of Reed’s Lookout. Take a short walk to The Balconies and Jaws of Death, a spectacular rock formation shaped like an open jaw.
  • Be awestruck by the cascading water and rainbow-coloured mist of the Mackenzie Falls or enjoy a shady stroll beneath the fern trees to the Silverband Falls.
  • Begin exploring the coastal scenery of the Great Ocean Drive at the Bay of Martyrs, before viewing London Arch, a natural offshore rock formation that possesses striking beauty in its formation.
  • Experience nature’s immense power at Loch Ard Gorge, named after the nearby shipwreck, with its fascinating story of two teenage survivors out of the 54 passengers and crew aboard.
  • Visit the skin-tingling beauty of the iconic 12 Apostles, rugged stacks of limestone created by time’s erosion of the mainland’s limestone cliffs.
  • Walk through forests of eucalyptus gum and scout for wild koalas and a colourful array of native birds at Kennett River.

On day one of the tour, enjoy a morning drive along the famous Murray River before stopping for morning tea beside Tolmer Creek in Bordertown. Then, explore the lively city of Horsham, before driving through the Grampian’s National Park. Visit Reed’s Lookout, The Balconies, the Jaws of Death and the local falls before enjoying a relaxing stroll through the stringbark trees to Boroka Lookout, where views abound of the Wonderland Range, Mt William Range, Fyans Valley, Lake Bellfield and the Eastern plains. Finish your day at Halls Gap to enjoy a breathtaking sunset, kangaroo spotting and dinner before staying overnight at Halls Gap Hostel.

Day two commences at Tower Hill, where you can gaze into the crater of an extinct volcano which last erupted 32,000 years ago. From here, we commence the Great Ocean Drive, stopping at vantage points for stunning photo opportunities. Explore the seaside town of Apollo Bay before koala and bird-spotting. Immerse yourself in history at Memorial Archway, built as a tribute to soldiers from WW1 who contributed to the construction of Great Ocean Road. Finally, capture the stunning beaches of Anglesea and Lorne on the final leg of the Great Ocean Road. This stretch of coastline is some of the most picturesque within the region, with staggering cliff-faces, pristine beaches and flowing farmland. Finish your tour at approximately 7:00 - 8:00pm in Melbourne, where there is an array of bustling restaurants for you to grab a bite to eat and reflect upon your journey.
