Why join Bruny Island Safaris...

We are locally owned and operated. Tour owner Craig Parsey lived at Cape Bruny with his Lighthouse Keeper family during the 1970s and has nearly 50 years of working, living and holidaying on Bruny Island. The only company offering a fully guided tour inside the Cape Bruny Lighthouse (not available to any other tour operator). Your tour guides are passionate local people who have grown up on Bruny Island and have an intimate connection to the island (50% of our guiding team live on Bruny Island). It has been rated the best Bruny Island Tour for the past 7 years (2014-2019), receiving the Trip Advisor Hall of Fame awards 2018 and 2019. Our groups are small and take a maximum of 20 people.

Our guides are local passionate people just waiting to show you their little piece of paradise! Each tour guide is a little different in the way they conduct our tours and often will add their own island life experiences and stories to the day, making for one of the most personable tour experiences in Tasmania. The Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour for many guests is the highlight of the day along with the guide stories, characters, history and fine foods.

Your day will start off leisurely, with a hotel pick up. Enjoy a scenic country and coastal drive to Kettering, where you will board the ferry and enjoy beautiful crossing to Bruny Island. You'll begin the day climbing The Neck and Adventure Bay lookout for amazing views as far as you can see.

We visit Adventure Bay before heading to South Bruny National Park where you will be astounded by the spectacular and rugged coastal views, expanses of coastal vegetation and the wildlife including whales, sea eagles, echidnas and more that call this area their home. It is here we take a short break for morning tea on the beach with a selection of Bruny Island Cheeses, Oysters and Wood-fired oven bread.
We have lunch at Hotel Bruny who specialise in the freshest Tasmanian seafood and local produce. Your choices for lunch include fish, lamb, seafood chowder or a large seafood platter for 2 (or single-serve)! Gluten-free and vegetarian options are available. It is hard not to have a drink of the wonderful local wine, beer or cider with lunch! Lunch comes with a warning, you have to leave room for the chocolates, fudge and honey!

Time to walk off a little of that great lunch by going on a tour of the iconic Bruny Island Lighthouse perched 115m atop the Dolerite Sea Cliffs. You learn about the history of this lovely building, taking in sea views from its balcony. The views are amazing from the top so make sure you have your camera with you.

    Review from C.Z. travelled 15th Feb 2018

I recently booked and completed a Bruny Island Safari’s tour with yourselves on the above date whilst staying in Hobart for a week on a girls trip away. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to the wonderful ‘Rob’ who was our tour guide for the day. He was without a doubt the most organised, informative, friendly and professional tour guide that we have ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble, his patience was above and beyond what was required and we departed with a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to any and all that are considering doing this tour when visiting Tasmania. We all had such an enjoyable and memorable day with many many thanks to ‘Rob’, which I’m sure was mostly as a result of his devoted effort to ensure each and every person received the most pleasurable experience possible.

Congratulations to you for having such a fantastic person showcasing not only your company but Bruny Island and Tasmania.
