Do you want to visit all of the sights the iconic Great Ocean Road, Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island has to offer and more? From the awe-inspiring Twelve Apostles to viewing penguins making their way out of the water at Nobbies Centre underneath a setting sun, this tour will be something you won't ever forget.
Have you ever wanted to experience the 'real' Victoria? Well, with this two day tour, now you can. The Great Ocean Road is an internationally recognised landmark for a reason. Stretching over 243 kilometres, this expansive, postcard-worthy road has a number of prominent tourist destinations along its girth. Built right into the coastline with ocean views in one direction and lush National Parks in the other, it's no wonder many people have always dreamt of visiting. This tour enables you to see all the Great Ocean Road has to offer. With our friendly guides, hotel pick-up and drop off and a carefully planned itinerary, there's not much not to love about this getaway.
Day one of the tour will have you marvelling at the Twelve Apostles. A collection of limestone stacks emerging from the ocean off the coast of Port Campbell National Park, these stone towers are something else and are sure to provide a memorable viewing experience. Following this, and we hope you brought your walking shoes, the tour will be stopping at The Gibson Steps. The Steps are an 86 step staircase leading straight onto the beachfront. In the very same National Park is the Loch Ard Gorge, which we will also be visiting. Serving as a locale for the 1982 film "The Pirate Movie," some of you may have seen it before. Its natural beauty is bound to impress. Then the tour will move into Otway National Park before visiting the final destination of the day, the beaches of Surf Coast. The night will be spent at Beacon Resort on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Day two begins with a boat ride across Port Phillip Bay from Queenscliff to Sorrento and then up through the Mornington Peninsula. This is where you will come into close contact with some iconic Australian wildlife. At the Moonlit Sanctuary you'll have the opportunity to come face to face with koalas, kangaroos, owls, frogmouths and for the less faint-hearted of you, snakes. From there the tour moves down to Phillip Island. The final stop of the tour will be at Nobbies Center where you'll have the chance to view Penguins making their way up out of the water, under the backdrop of a setting sun; the perfect ending to a life-changing experience.
The tour departs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 7:15-7:30am from the Bunyip departure office (We offer complimentary transfers to our departure point from selected hotel/hostel and must be organised in advance) and will return between 9:30pm and midnight the following day.
