Victoria's stunning southern coastline is only interrupted by the placid waters of Port Phillip Bay. Which side do you want to see? Why not both? Cross the bay on a ferry and see the Southern Ocean from both sides. On this two-day tour, take in the rugged coastline, the lush rainforest, and the magical sight of the Penguin Parade.

  • See the golden limestone formations of the monolithic 12 Apostles and world-famous London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge
  • Walk through the rich, abundant Otways National Park rainforest
  • Ferry across the bay to Sorrento, in the wine-making region of the Mornington Peninsula
  • Tour Panny's Amazing World of Chocolate and enjoy free chocolate tastings at Phillip Island
  • See the magnificent natural seal nursery of Seal Rocks, where thousands of Australian Fur Seals go to breed and sunbathe
  • Watch the world's smallest penguins waddle out of the waves and on to the golden sands at sunset

Join us as we head out from Melbourne at 7.15am, heading straight across the West Gate Bridge and through the vast volcanic plains of the Geelong region. On day one, we journey through the rolling hills towards the Great Ocean Road, right to the sheer cliff face that juts out above the golden lime formations that make up the monolithic 12 Apostles. We stop to take in the majesty and drama of the coastal scenery, including the story of Loch Ard Gorge, the tragic site of one of Australia's most significant shipwrecks. Along the 'Shipwreck Coast', we encounter other world-famous rock formations, including the London Bridge, carved out of the cliffs by the powerful surf.

Heading back toward the cool, calm rainforest gully of the Otway National Rainforest, we go on a guided tour through the home of some of the world's tallest trees, prehistoric plants, and luscious fernery. The abundance of plant and animal life here in the damp will have you searching for koalas and kookaburras in their native habitat. We stop at the picturesque coastal towns of Lorne and Apollo Bay, where you can stretch your legs and feel the sand between your toes. At Aireys Inlet, we stop at the Split Point Lighthouse, affectionately known as 'The White Queen' to locals and the iconic setting of the television show 'Round the Twist'.

After setting out after a night spent in the coastal village of Queenscliff, we catch a ferry across Port Phillip Bay to the picturesque historical seaside town of Sorrento. We take in the breathtaking views from Murray's Lookout, and see the Bathing Boxes at Portsea. At the Moonlit Sanctuary, you can get up close and personal with Australia's weird and wonderful wildlife. We then take a guided tour (with free tastings) of Panny's Amazing World of Chocolate, at the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory. At Phillip Island, we watch as Australian Fur Seals sunbathe with stunning views of the Bass Strait.

Our final stop is the magical Penguin Parade, where hundreds of the world's smallest penguins waddle out of the waves at sunset to burrow for the night.
