Whether you want to surf, swim, view, hike or shop, this tour is for you. Our flexible hop-on/hop-off tour gives you all the best of the Great Ocean Road. Love to hear the roar of the surf against the cliffs? Want to explore where the locals live? Want to see prehistoric forests and wonderful wildlife? The choice is yours.

  • Want to be awed by the thundering surf rolling under the feet of talented surfers? Check out Bells Beach, where the final scene of Point Break was shot.
  • Want to feel the sand between your toes and take in the most spectacular coastal vista Australia has to offer? Get your camera and do our beach walk, where you'll get to take photos with the Great Ocean Road sign.
  • If the damp cool of the rainforest gully is more your thing, take a moment to meet and greet the local wildlife in their natural habitat in the lush, green Otway National Rainforest Park.
  • Be inspired by the golden limestone stacks of the world-famous 12 Apostles.
  • Opt to see the rest of the Shipwreck Coast, including the London Bridge and Loch Ard Gorge.

Pack your runners and your camera, it's time for a choose-your-own-adventure. Departing at 7.15am, we leave Melbourne's CBD and head straight over the West Gate Bridge and through the vast volcanic plains of Melbourne's south-west. We go through Torquay, the gateway to the Great Ocean Road.

We start the first section of our Great Ocean Road tour above the sheer cliff face of the Surf Coast, where the road is the only border between the sea and the land. We go through picturesque coastal towns and see homes that stand on stilts overlooking the ocean from the forest-covered mountains. We stop at Bells Beach, one of Australia's most famous surf beaches and home to the famous final scene of the film Point Break.

If you like the thunder of the ocean as it crashes against sheer cliff faces, the Surf Coast leg of our Great Ocean Road trip is for you. We stop at various lookouts and walks and do a beach walk, where you can feel the sand between your toes and observe the waves from sea level. Get your camera out to take photographs with the Great Ocean Road sign.

As the Great Ocean Road departs the sea and enters the rainforest, we stop at the Otway National Park. Here, we see an ancient rainforest that is home to some of the world's tallest trees. Surrounded by lush greenery and wild and wonderful wildlife, you might not want to leave the cool of the rainforest gully.

Lunch is on us, which we will enjoy as an Aussie BBQ as we practice our native bird calls and try to spot koalas in the tree tops.

When the Great Ocean Road rejoins the sea, it is against the golden limestone formations of the 12 Apostles. You can also see Loch Ard Gorge, the site of one of Australia's most significant and tragic shipwrecks. We check out the London Bridge on request, and watch as the ocean's powerful force creates a blowhole in the ocean.

We can drop you off and pick you up again the next day, so that you can explore the coastal fishing towns of Torquay, Lorne, Apollo Bay or Port Campbell for a bit longer. Our Guide will drop you at the information centre of your choice on day one, and we'll pick you up at the same location the next day. Your overnight accommodation is not included, so be sure to book this in advance - the Great Ocean Road accommodation can get booked out in peak periods.
