With pickups between 1pm - 4pm (depending on the season) from your inner city Melbourne accommodation, you’ll be greeted by your friendly tour guide and board your comfortable tour coach for your journey to Phillip Island. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning coastal vistas and see points of interest, such as the popular town of San Remo and the famous Grand Prix motorcycle track.
At the Penguin Complex and Education Centre, you’ll delight in learning about the lives of the Little Penguins (once known as Fairy Penguin) as you explore the interactive displays, which teach you about the feeding, breeding and other habits of these fascinating sea birds. You can purchase a souvenir and wait for the sunset before heading to the Penguin Parade viewing area. Here, you’ll be awestruck as you observe the hundreds of Little Penguins as they make their way up the beach and settle down for the night in their sand dune beach burrows. Each penguin has its own unique personality and together, they will keep you thoroughly entertained as they interact with each other.
After witnessing the antics of the penguins, you’ll again board your coach and be returned to your original pickup location, arriving at about 10 pm during winter months, or midnight during summer months.
