Departing twice daily in whale season from the Sightseeing Cruises Terminal, which is located on the corner of Cavil Avenue and the Gold Coast Highway (Ferny Avenue), you’ll begin your morning whale watching cruise by relaxing aboard the cruise vessel, which offers 360 degree views from all decks, as well as water level viewing platforms.

You’ll meet the guides on board as they begin their full commentary, pointing out the homes of the rich and famous as you cruise out towards the whale spotting areas. In fact, you’ll see (and hear stories about) some of the area’s most lucrative waterside real estate with the bonus canal cruise! You’ll also likely get to know a few of your fellow cruise passengers, as small group sizes give the experience an intimate feel and allow for open communication on this exciting shared experience.

With more than ten years whale spotting experience, the crew will have no trouble finding the whales and dolphins along the ‘humpback whale highway’, so before you know it, you’ll be seeing some majestic whales, possibly alongside bottle-nosed dolphins, orcas, giant loggerhead turtles, sea birds and more! Have your camera at the ready because you’ll want to capture the wonder as the whales swim gracefully, breach the water, slap their tail on the water surface and come up close for a better look. The on board marine naturalist will explain what these actions mean as they are performed too.

You are guaranteed to see a whale on this cruise, or you receive a voucher for a return cruise, but as one of the longest whale watching cruises within the Gold coast area and has a 100% spotting record, the tour is great value for money anyway, even without the guarantee and extra perks! There’s truly something magical about seeing the mighty whale in its natural environment and this is an activity that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.

After your adventure, you’ll head back to shore, returning to the Sightseeing Cruises Terminal to end your experience.
