This tour is perfect to give you a taste of the “Red Centre”. First stop the Cultural Centre then we head off to the base of Uluru(Ayers Rock) for a walk and learn all of her secrets. At the end of the day it is time to fill a glass and watch nature’s show, sunset over Uluru. You have a choice to sleep in your swag under the stars, yes the stars are brighter in the “Red Centre”. Next morning nature again will amaze you with her sunrise. Then it is off to explore Kata Tjuta(The Olgas).

This overnight adventure is ideal for those short on time that wish to see the icons of Uluru and Kata Tjuta.  Travel in an air-conditioned four wheel drive and absorb the fascinating information of the area and its people provided by your experienced guides. Participate in a guided walk at Uluru and Kata Tjuta, experience the Uluru sunset and sunrise away from the crowds, and spend the night in our private campsite with your choice of swag or comfortable permanent tent with beds and dinner cooked over the fire.

OVERNIGHT ITINERARY

Day 1 (Dinner)


Your tour begins directly from Ayers Rock Airport where we will collect you before traveling the short distance to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring this extraordinary monolith starting with an interpretive walk led by your guide, and hearing of the Aboriginal law and religion (Tjukurpa).  You will also learn about the art and culture of the local custodians, the Anangu people, and visit the acclaimed Cultural Centre where you can explore the displays and learn of the flora and fauna unique to this area. 
Experience the famous changing colours of Uluru at sunset complete with sparkling wine and nibbles and plenty of photo opportunities. This is a great time to kick back and contemplate the vastness of the desert while getting to know your fellow travellers. 
Afterwards settle in at our private camp, complete with our signature Endless Star dining experience before retiring to your swag under the amazing night sky or your comfortable safari tent complete with beds.

Day 2 (Breakfast)


Rising early, take a short walk to a lookout close to our campsite to view sunrise over Uluru and Kata Tjuta without the hustle and bustle of the public viewing area.  
After breakfast we make our way to Kata Tjuta, a sacred area for the local Anangu people meaning ‘many head’s.  Hike through the magnificent "Valley of the Winds", making your way through the soaring domes and creek beds to be rewarded with incredible views.  

We return you to Ayers Rock Airport with abundant memories of this special place.

    This Safari departs from Outback Pioneer Hotel at 1.00pm, or Ayers Rock Airport where we meet all afternoon flight arrivals. Please advise flight information when booking if an airport collection is required.

    We recommend guests arrive on the Jetstar or Virgin Australia flights into Ayers Rock. Although we collect guests arriving on the later Qantas service please note guests will not receive a full experience at Uluru should they choose this service.

    Please be dressed in comfortable walking clothing and footwear, have a water bottle and hat with sunscreen when boarding tour at Ayers Rock Airport or Outback Pioneer Hotel.

  • What to bring:

    Torch, wide brimmed hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle (1.5 litres), walking shoes/boots, sleeping bag (if you prefer your own), toiletries, towel, camera, comfortable casual clothing. Note: Due to limited space on the vehicle please restrict luggage to a day pack and one soft overnight bag/backpack (maximum 10kg).
