This exciting half day tour includes an exhilarating Jumping Crocodile Cruise, entry to the wonderful Window on the Wetlands Visitors Centre to view Marrakai Plains, then through to Fogg Dam Nature Reserve.

This adventurous tour departs daily at 1:15 pm (earlier from your Darwin accommodation) and takes you on the absolute ride of your life. Just a short 60 kms from Darwin – travelling down the Stuart Highway, listening to an enjoyable expert commentary about the surrounds of Darwin – you’ll head to the majestic Adelaide River. Home to well over 1600 Crocodiles and the prime location of the famous or infamous Jumping Crocodiles, watch these gigantic prehistoric reptiles as they launch themselves from the water for a tasty treat that’s extended on a pole from your boat. You will laugh your head off, scream yourself silly and have the absolute time of your life as these enormous beasts follow you for just one more tidbit.

After all this, you continue to the Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre for views over the vitally important Marrakai Plains that comprises an ecologically significant portion of the drainage and catchment for the amazing Adelaide River. The large quantity of water all year round has enabled and ensured the roosting and feeding sites for many, many waterbirds, including egrets, magpie geese and brolgas. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity as you immerse yourself in one of nature’s miracles.

But wait, there’s more! It’s on to the Fogg Dam Nature Reserve to get up close and personal with the wetland ecosystem. Here, you’ll have a great opportunity to spot birds and other magnificent wildlife and great photo opportunities. After a thrilling day, you’ll arrive back in Darwin at 6.30 pm, where you’ll be returned to your original pickup location.

    Children between the ages of 2-15 years will be applicable for child rates. Children under 2 years are considered infants and travel free of charge when seated on a parent or guardians lap.
