From Catamaran to Moore Reef pontoon, enjoy an amazing day snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef. Viewing coral and marine life from our glass bottomed boat or semi-submersible and delighting in a delicious buffet lunch. The underwater observatory and marine touch tank will bring you up close to the colourful sea life, while a marine naturalist will educate you on their ecology. There is even a Theme Park style waterslide, the only one on the Great Barrier Reef!

Begin your full day of reef cruising from Reef Fleet Terminal, Cairns Marina, departing at approximately 9:30am, or Fitzroy Island Wharf at around 10am. Boarding the super-fast, air-conditioned catamaran, you will wind your way through the crystal clear waters of the outer fringes of the Great Barrier Reef to our large floating pontoon at Moore Reef.


Engage in a variety of activities from the semi-submersible craft and the glass-bottomed boat, including guided coral viewing and snorkelling (equipment and instruction provided). See and touch unique marine creatures in the marine touch tank and marvel at the exotic sea life in the underwater observatory. Enjoy the on board reef ecology presentation with our Marine Naturalist and learn of the exceptional characteristics unique to Clown Fish, Giant Clams, Giant Blue Starfish and a myriad of other sea creatures whose home is the Great Barrier Reef.

Enjoy a buffet luncheon prepared by our talented chef, of hot dishes, fresh seafood, salads and refreshing tropical fruit and afternoon tea as you relax and enjoy the peaceful tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef.

    If you are making your own way to our departure point at the Reef Fleet Terminal, please check opens at 08.30 am and closes at 9:15 sharp.
    The boat departs Cairns Marina at 9.30 am and returns to Cairns approximately at 5.30 pm.
    Passengers joining the cruise at Fitzroy Island should meet at the Fitzroy Island wharf at 10am for a 10.15am departure.
    Reef Fleet Terminal is located in central Cairns within walking distance to most accommodation located in the city.
    Return transfers from Cairns City and Northern Beaches suburbs (including Palm Cove) can be arranged as option extra at the time of booking. (extra charge)

    Hat, sun protective clothing, towel, swimming costume, sunscreen SPF 30+, cash and credit card (safety deposit box on board).

  • Child policies:

    Children aged from 4 to 15 years pay the child price for the Reef Cruise.

    Children aged 0 to 3 years are classified as infants and travel fee.

    Child prices for diving are valid for the ages of 12-15 years only.

    Children under 12 are not permitted to dive.

  • Additional Information:

    Please contact us prior to your departure if you require coach transfers from your accomodation.

    All Scuba and Helmet Dive participants must complete a medical questionnaire/declaration on board. A history of asthma, high/low blood pressure, heart conditions and/or other medical conditions or medications may prohibit Scuba or Helmet Diving. If medical is failed on-board no refund will be given for dive options.
