With a comfortable 10 am pickup from your inner city Melbourne or St Kilda accommodation, you’ll set off on a scenic journey towards Phillip & French Island, with a small, intimate number of fellow travellers. Board a ferry operated by Western Port Ferries, and in just 15 minutes you’ll be greeted by your guide on the 17,000 hectare French Island. You’ll discover hidden treasures such as natural wilderness, a vast range of plants, more than 230 bird species and mammals such as the iconic koala and echidna. Back on the ferry to Phillip Island, where there’s some free time to explore seaside Cowes before continuing to the Nobbies.

At the Nobbies, you will have view overlooking Seal Rocks, and you’ll be able to use the seal camera viewing area to experience the joy of watching these gorgeous mammals going about their day. You’ll also see the Blowhole.

Next, head over to Summerland Beach to experience the Penguin Parade. At the Penguin Complex and Education Centre, you’ll learn about how the Little Penguins (Fairy Penguins) live, eat, breed and survive in the wild. Then, with beautiful surroundings as your backdrop, you’ll be enthralled by the hundreds of adorable Little Penguins making their way up the beach to their nightly nesting area. Watch as each penguin reveals a little of their own unique personalities as they interact with each other and their environment. This is an amazing insight into these amazing birds and you’ll remember your experience forever.

At the end of the day, you’ll return to Melbourne and be dropped back to your original pickup location, arriving at about 10 pm.
