Corroboree Billabong is part of the Mary River Wetlands, home to the largest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the world. Enjoy viewing plenty of crocodiles plus a huge variety of birds and other local wildlife in their natural environment. The boat design allows you to get up close to the animals with plenty of opportunities to take amazing pictures whilst cruising around this nature lovers paradise.
The day starts with a pick-up from your Darwin accommodation at around 9am. Sit back, relax and listen to interesting commentary about the region from our knowledgeable guide as we make our way to Fogg Dam Nature Reserve.
A short drive from here takes us to the “Window on the Wetlands” Information Centre, and then onwards to Corroboree Park Tavern before we head out to the Corroboree Billabong
You will then board our vessel for an amazing 2.5 hour cruise on the wetlands, viewing an abundance of birds, crocodiles and wildlife in their natural habitat. Enjoy a delicious cold lunch on the wetlands, surrounded by nature at its best, as we get “up close and personal” with plenty of local wildlife.
From here it is just under 90 minutes drive to return you to your Darwin accommodation around 5pm.

Fogg Dam Nature Reserve
Originally set up as a large scale rice growing project in the 1950`s Fogg Dam Nature reserve is now a haven for many varieties of birds that you will get a chance to admire. Being surrounded by Sacred Lotus and Lily fields, it is also a photographers delight.
Window on The Wetlands
A short drive takes us to the “Window on The Wetlands” information centre where you can enjoy interactive displays explaining the Aboriginal & European histories of the area, it’s ecology, seasonal changes and the abundant wildlife of the wetlands. Here you will experience the breathtaking view over the Adelaide River floodplains from the upper viewing deck.
Corroboree Park Tavern
Another short drive will take us to the Corroboree Park Tavern, where we will make a quick stop to collect our freshly made lunches and give you the chance to visit Brutus, the local 4.6m, 70yo salty living here.

Enjoy a delicious lunch on-board, surrounded by nature at its best as we get “up close and personal” with plenty of local wildlife. Our vessel is completely shaded & open sided for optimal viewing of the wildlife. Keep your camera and binoculars on hand to capture sightings of the various birds that call the wetlands home and also freshwater and saltwater crocodiles that often bask in the sun on the banks or swim stealthily by our vessel.
Your experienced local guides have a wealth of knowledge and will ensure your day is filled with the best the billabong has to offer along with information on the surrounding wildlife and vegetation.
Return to your Accommodation
Upon completion of the cruise it is just under 90 minutes drive to return you to your Darwin accommodation around 5pm.
Our vehicle carries a maximum 20 passengers and our boat carries a maximum of 29 passengers.
Tour includes a 2.5 hour wetland cruise (max 29 people), picnic lunch, hotel pick & drop off, airconditioned transport (max 20 people), experienced guide.

Darwin CBD hotel pick up/drop off. Other pick up locations are possible in & around Darwin, however, guests must contact Wetland Cruises direct for more information re alternative pick up points nearby their location
