When you choose to do your Padi Gold Certificate with us, you will be training in one of the biggest training pools in the Southern Hemisphere. We have been training 1000s of people each year for over 25 years, we know what we are doing! You will have 2 days theory/pool training and 2 day trips to the Great Barrier Reef on our fantastic quick catamaran. After all you want to be on the Great Barrier Reef diving!

This tour is offered by a multi-award winning PADI Diver Training Provider with over 30 years experience. With 100,000+ certifications under its belt, you are provided with world class instruction to students of all ages, offering the latest in equipment and teaching technology.

The schedule for the PADI Open Water Dive Course is as follows:

Day 1 & 2 - Pool and Classroom
You will be picked up from your central Cairns Accommodation at approx 7.30am on Days 1 & 2, and delivered to the Dive School.

You will spend the day here attending the dive class and training in the pool until approx. :45pm, when you will be driven back to your accommodation. We recommend that you bring swimwear, towel and additional money to make any lunch/drinks/snack purchases.

Day 3 & 4 - Outer Reef Day Trips
Your instructor will collect you from your accommodation at approx 7.30am on both mornings and you will be travelling on board our day boat, Evolution, to the Outer Reef. You will be doing 2 training dives on each day plus one complimentary 5th dive. BBQ lunch will be provided on board the boat on these days. We recommend that you bring additional money for purchases/drinks/snacks on board. Please note that these 2 days are individual day trips. You will still require accommodation in Cairns each evening.

Please add your accommodation in the space provided on the booking form. Self drive check-in is 287 Draper Street Cairns at 7.30am.

  • Additional Information:

    Note: $40.00 EMC to pay on check-in. All divers must complete a Medical Questionnaire. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (eg asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and/or prescription medication may prevent some people from diving. Divers over 45 years old and anyone who answers YES to any of the questions on the medical questionnaire will require a recreational dive medical prior to diving. You must also be able to swim 200 metres and tread water for 10 minutes. You will not be allowed to dive until you are declared medically fit to dive. For advice please contact our office directly.
