With an 8:30am departure from Pier 4, Barrack St Jetty, Perth (return transfers are available for many Perth accommodation locations), cruise along the beautiful Swan River before beginning the ocean crossing to Rottnest Island. All up, the ferry journey takes around 2 hours and comes complete with sweeping views of the ocean and the coast.
There is so much to do on Rottnest Island that you will be surprised from the moment you step foot on this fascinating little isle. Check your boarding ticket for the time of your allocated 90min Bus Tour, and plan your day around that. Your tour leaves from the Main Bus Stop on the island and will take you aboard a comfortable air-conditioned coach on an exploration of this stunningly beautiful and historically rich location. With a friendly and insightful guide regaling you with full commentary, you'll hear stories of the islands historical heritage, cultural history and contemporary efforts to conserve the island. See a number of points of interest, such as some of Rottnest Island's many beaches and bays, heritage sites, defence remnants and wildlife areas.
Keep your eyes peeled for the island's resident quokkas (which you are almost guaranteed to see), as well as other wildlife and bird life. Visit the gorgeous lookout point at West End and enjoy a stroll around the boardwalk here.

At the end of your island tour, you will return to Perth on the ferry, arriving at the jetty at about 6:45 pm. If you were picked up from Perth accommodation, transfers will return you shortly after.
