Your exciting four-day walking tour begins when you are picked up for a scenic one-hour drive from your Hobart accommodation. Once you arrive at Triabunna, you’ll be ferried across a scenic pass to Darlington on Maria Island, where you will meet your friendly and professional Tasmanian guides.

Day One
Leaving Darlington, you’ll journey to French's Farm, taking in the beauty of the painted cliffs along the way. You’ll walk adjacent to the coast, visiting the sweeping Four Mile Beach, Return Point and Bloodstone Beach along the way. At Point Lesueur, you’ll see the historically significant convict cells, before arriving at your bush camp at French's Farm.

Day Two
You’ll walk along the scenic Shoal & Riedle Bay Beaches, before visiting the cute Fairy Penguins at Haunted Bay. Following lunch, you’ll return along Shoal Bay through forests and seaside flora and back to Frenchs Farm, where you’ll camp within a beautiful clearing where the historic farmhouse residents once went about their day.

Day Three
On day three, you’ll go inland to the centre of Maria Island, passing majestic groups of Brown Top, Blue Gums and White Top Stringy Bark Trees, then visit the Oast House and then Darlington, where you’ll spend the night in comfort, staying in the converted historical Penitentiary building.

Day Four
Today, you’ll learn of the history of wonderful Darlington as you explore the town’s buildings and relics. You’ll also see the spellbinding Fossil Bay and cliffs and you’ll have the choice of climbing Bishop and Clerk. After a day of exploring this amazing place, you’ll catch a water taxi across the picturesque Mercury Passage on your way back to Triabunna, where you will board the bus back to Hobart.
