Departing daily between 9:30-10:30am (winter) and 11:30am-12:30pm (summer) from various accommodation locations and landmarks throughout inner city Melbourne and the St Kilda area, this tour will have you spellbound from the time you get on your modern air-conditioned coach until you step off at the end. With an informative and interesting commentary from your friendly, experienced driver, you’ll join your fellow adventure seekers and learn of the fascinating history of this cosmopolitan city, while beginning your journey to fabulous Phillip Island.

Your first port of call will be a native animal park, where you’ll get to meet some very cheeky and charismatic Australian wildlife. Watch the antics of kangaroos as they hop over to feed out of your hand, cuddle an adorable, heart-melting baby wombat and get up close to the iconic Aussie favorite, the koala.

Back on the bus, it’s over the bridge to the rugged cliff faces, sandy beaches and exquisite beauty of Phillip Island. Enjoy watching the surfers ride the giant, thunderous waves of Woolamai Beach, as they sweep across the sandy foreshore. Take a serene coastal stroll and soak up the ambience of this soul restoring area. (weather dependent)

Next, it’s off to the Nobbies Centre, where you can take a leisurely meander along the boardwalk to view the stunning rugged outcrops of Seal Rocks, the Nobbies and the Blowhole, which are home to Australia’s largest colony of entertaining fur seals. Exploring the wonderful award winning marine facility is an extremely enjoyable and informative way to pass some quality time. Delight in a bit of souvenir shopping or use the state-of-the-art cameras to zoom in and have an insightful look at the seals relaxing and sunbathing on the rocky outcrop. Take time-out to immerse yourself in the interactive WWF Antarctic Journey, experience this state-of-the-art fun, educational and virtual world of discovery, located beneath the Nobbies centre. Entry is included in your fare price, exclusive to all Autopia Tours passengers.

The Penguin Complex and Education Centre will allow you to learn all about the fascinating lives of the island’s Little Penguins, through a clever use of interactive displays. Finally, as the magnificent sunset turns the island into a scenic wonderland, you’ll head down to the penguin viewing platform to await the arrival of the Little Penguins. Watch the Little Penguins’ personalities come out as they waddle up the sand after frolicking and feeding in the oceans all day. Delight in seeing their antics as they make their way to their tiny little sand burrows, taking themselves off to bed to a well-deserved sleep.

After seeing the penguins, you’ll board your coach and head back to Melbourne, being returned to your original pickup location between 10 pm and midnight, depending on the season.
