Receive fresh fruit and a bottle of water on boarding your coach to help sustain you on your journey. Our modern comfortable coach and friendly driver take you and your fellow travellers towards the spectacular Cradle Mountain National Park. You will visit the rural farming town of Deloraine to enjoy the country feel and culture. With its perfect location, it serves as a starting point to explore the area of Cradle Mountain, with the backdrop of the Great Western Tiers.

While visiting this beautiful region, you will make several stops at various interesting spots. You will take an interesting look at Sheffield – also known as ‘The Town of Murals’. The first vibrant mural was painted in December 1986 and since this time, over 60 murals that depict the areas natural beauty and rich history are painted on walls and buildings throughout this town. A number of artists’ studios are open to the public and these include fine art, photography, glass, pottery, woodcraft and ceramics.

While in the valley, you will also visit Waldheim Chalet, or ‘Home in the Forest’ where you can enjoy a forest walk. The building of this unique facility was commenced in March 1912 by Kate and Gustav Weindorfers and it enabled the tourist of yesteryear and today to stay in comfort in this spectacular region. This purpose built chalet was constructed of King Billy pine, harvested from the adjacent forest.

We will visit the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre for an insight into the local area before taking in the scenery on foot on a guided walk around Dove Lake which nestles in the shadow of the majestic Cradle Mountain. You'll spend approximatly 2hrs and 40mins in the Dove Lake area walking and enjoying your freshly prepared lunch. You can also choose to explore the Dove Lake on your own if you prefer not to take the guided walk.

After a wonderful day of spectacular sightseeing combined with interesting stops along the way, you’ll arrive back in Launceston at approximately 5.15 pm and be dropped off at your original pickup location.
