After morning pickups in Cairns, climb to 500 metres above sea-level and drive out of the rainforest and on to the multi-cultural village of Mareeba and award-winning Coffee Works for an introduction to Australia’s largest coffee growing region.

Travel on the through coffee plantations, sugar cane, and through the townships of Tolga and Atherton on route to Herberton and its Historic Village, voted as one of the top 10 museums in Australia. Enjoy a selection of local tropical fruit and Gallos cheese platter with a cup of local tea.

Then its onto lunch stop at the Australian Platypus Centre and Smokehouse Café along Queensland’s highest scenic drive with epic views of the Tablelands and the Great Dividing Range. Walk into the forest to view one of Australia’s oldest trees, The Curtain Fig Tree; standing at 500 years old. Finish the day at Tropical North Queensland’s only distillery at Mt Uncle and celebrate a beautiful day of exploration, learning and fun.

    At Mt Uncle Distillery enjoy a complimentary tasting, additional nips of spirits or liqueurs are from $2.00 each.

    5.30pm to Cairns CBD and Northern Beaches. Approximately 6.30pm to Port Douglas.

  • Pickup/departure instructions:

    Courtesy pick up from accommodation in Cairns City and Cairns Northern Beaches is included. Pick ups will generally be before the departure time of 7.30am from Cairns, 8.00am from the Northern Beaches.
    Pick up from Port Douglas accommodation is available at approximately 7am, for an additional charge of $60 per person which is payable to the driver on the day of the tour.

    All dietary requirements must be notified at time of reservation, or 48 hours notice we can cater for vegetarians and most other requirements. Your lunch order will be taken at Coffee Works by your Tour Guide prior to your arrival at the lunch destination.
