  • Walk through a prehistoric rainforest in the Otway National Park
  • See some of Australia's weird and wonderful wildlife
  • Enjoy a two-course meal at the coastal town of Apollo Bay
  • Explore Shipwreck Bay and the significant historical area of Loch Ard Gorge

The day starts at 8am, where you will be picked up in Melbourne's Federation Square. Heading over the West Gate Bridge and through the vast volcanic plains of Melbourne's south-west, you will pass through the redeveloped Geelong Waterfront on the way to Anglesea, the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. You will feel the wind whipping your hair against your face and hear the crash of waves thundering against the towering cliffs of the Great Ocean Road.

When you've worked up sufficient appetite, you will stop for morning tea (own expense) in Anglesea. You'll then continue the mountain-hugging drive around precipitous cliffs, rolling surf, white-capped waves and soft, golden sand.

Next, you'll enjoy a two-course meal at Apollo Bay, the small coastal town famous as a peaceful landmark on the Great Ocean Road. Be impressed by the premium quality of lunch before you take a stroll on the soft sands of Apollo Bay's beach side. This is where you can stop to really feel the sand between your toes, and breathe in the sea air. Walk around the town for a spot of small village shopping, and see how the locals live. Be sure to relax and unwind, as you are about to head toward another thrilling part of the Great Ocean Road.

Your next destination is the rugged cliff-face that borders the monumental 12 Apostles. These towering limestone stacks are the most famous part of the 'Shipwreck Coast'. Snap postcard-perfect pictures of the stacks before heading out to see the other limestone formations carved by the surf, including Razorback and Island Arch. You'll have the option to see the whole region from a bird's eye view in a helicopter. Take a closer look at the crystalline waters of Loch Ard Gorge, and hear about the tumultuous history of the beach that is the site of one of Australia's most significant shipwrecks.

The final stop on your Great Ocean Road tour is the quaint fishing village of Port Campbell. This is a day-tour not to be missed, where you get to see all these sights without having to lose the comfort of your Wi-Fi.
