Lunch Cruises and Over Night Sightseeing Cruises available. A sightseeing cruise along the Murray River aboard a beautiful paddle-wheel boat turns into a day of adventure and excitement! Itinerary Board at Murray Bridge wharf at 4pm Saturday and Tuesday afternoon. We will cruise to Mannum the birth place of the Paddle Steamer. Enjoy your evening dinner while cruising and listen to our commentary of sights along the way. Enjoy Australian music from one of our great local entertainers. On arrival to Mannum you will be transported to the Mannum Motel where you will spend the night. After breakfast at the motel you will take a bus tour of the famous birth place of the Paddle Steamer and the township of Mannum. Your sightseeing tour will take in the Mannum Museum where you will see a large collection of steam powered machinery and a variety of other collectable items. You will be able to reflect on a time gone by. From there you will see Reedy Creek Gorge where our guide will take you on a walking trail to see falls from the streams that flow from the Adelaide hills to the Murray River. Prior to returning to the Captain Proud Vessel you will have an opportunity to take some wonderful photo's from Mannum lookout. Arrive back at the Captain Proud in time for your delicious lunch and we will begin our journey back to Murray Bridge arriving at the main wharf Murray Bridge at approx 5:30pm. Afternoon Tea and Bar facilities available. DVD of the history of the Murray River will be shown during the cruise & played on our large screen.
