Before you head to Phillip Island, the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park is a great place to get up close and personal with some of Australia's unique wildlife. Located at the very top of the Mornington Peninsula, this park is a conservation haven for animals. It houses lots of different critters on its 10 hectares of beautiful bushland. The native animals that call this place home include dingoes, bright and colourful birds, emus, Tasmanian devils, and wombats. The main attraction of this park is the meet and greet with wallabies and kangaroos, which you can do on the famous Wallaby Walk. For a small fee, you can also feed the wallabies and get a snap with a cuddly koala.
Take a guided tour or stroll on your own through one of the oldest farms in Australia on Churchill Island. This tour includes a guided educational experience through the original cottage, homestead and heritage gardens. It's a beautiful bridge walk from Phillip Island to this historic site, where you can find the very first European garden ever planted in Australia. This island has fragrant flower gardens with great views of the ocean and historic buildings. It's also interesting to learn about past farming practices and how the first settlers lived in Australia. You can also get involved with fun farming activities like milking cows, and cracking a whip.
No trip to Phillip Island is complete without a visit to the Penguin Parade. The custom built boardwalks give you a beautiful spot to view the penguins from when they come in from the seas at night to waddle to their rookeries. This tour offers a Penguins Plus experience to its customers. You will be given the best spots in the house (or boardwalk) for premium viewing of the penguins on Summerland Beach.
Treat your tastebuds at Panny's Amazing World of Chocolate. They use only the finest Belgian chocolate to craft all sorts of things, including chocolate works of art, mosaics and more. Get ready for your mouth to water in this chocolate factory. Kids and dessert addicts will love designing their own chocolate bars, making chocolate art, and there is even an educational centre about the history of everyone's favourite treat.
