This tour will show you why this part of Western Australia is so popular. Not only does it have some of the world's best wines & produce but it also has the most spectacular scenery. You will be delightfully surpised by everything you see on this tour.
Explore Margaret River’s stunning scenery and attractions including wineries, galleries, breweries, local produce forests, caves and lighthouses. All-inclusive, this three-day tour departs Perth and will make sure you don’t miss a thing!
On day one we make the scenic drive from Perth through the charming seaside towns of Mandurah, where we’ll take a coffee break at The Tea & Coffee Merchant on the foreshore; Bunbury the Feature Wood Gallery with some beautiful local timber craftsmanship and then onto Busselton where we stop for a delicious lunch. Busselton is home to the famous Busselton Jetty, the longest timber pile jetty in the southern hemisphere stretching 1.8km out into picturesque Geographe Bay.
On arrival in Margaret River you will have some free time to explore the shops and to find that special memento or gift to purchase to take back home. As the day winds down we will call into the McLeod family farm to view mobs of Western Grey Kangaroos in the wild. During Spring - you will have an opportunity to see a spectacular display of native wildflowers on a short bush walk
Your night will be spent in comfort at the four-star Margarets Beach Resort, where you can dine at your leisure (evening meal at own expense) before retiring for the evening.
Day two is packed with food, wine and culture highlights, as we join the popular Winery & Brewery Tour. We depart after breakfast for a day of personalised tastings of wine, beer, coffee, cheese, olive oil and condiments, and everyone’s favourite – chocolate! Lunch is at one of Margaret Rivers outstanding boutique breweries, where we’ll also enjoy a complimentary crafted brew, or some lovely local wine.
We return for the evening to your accommodation at around 5:00pm, where you’ll be able to relax after a busy day and dine at your leisure (evening meal at own expense).
Day Three is our third and final day, on which we’ll explore the region’s stunning scenery and fantastic natural and cultural attractions on the Forest, Cave & Lighthouse tour.
We’ll check out of your accommodation early to go to breakfast at the White Elephant Cafe. After breakfast we will depart for a day of touring. Stop in atw Redgate Beach, where you’ll hear stories of shipwrecks and other tales of the region. The tour goes underground at the spectacular Mammoth Cave, one of just a few caves in the south west which contains fossils.
A scenic drive through the majestic Boranup Forest will take us to Boranup Gallery, showcasing beautiful and creative wood designs and furniture. Tea and coffee can be purchased from the Boranup Gallery Café – the homemade scones are a favourite!
Then its time to head seaward – visit Hamelin Bay where a family of stingrays can be seen patrolling along the watersedge. We pass through Augusta with stunning views of the Blackwood River before arriving at the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, where we’ll take a guided tour and spot the point where the Southern and Indian oceans meet.
Lunch is at the Deck Chair Café in Augusta. After lunch we depart for our trip back to Perth.
