Breakfast in the Yarra Valey Day Tour
Description Rainforest Gallery , Upper Yarra River, Healesville Sanctuary and Winery all in a day. We depart Melbourne at approx 7.00 am and head to the Yarra Valley for the day where you will experience Australian Native Wild life at it best. Our first stop will be the Rainforest Gallery walk which is a 17m high, 40m long aerial walkway which brings us into contact with giant 250-300 year old, 60m tall, mountain ash trees. Also leading from the carpark is the staircase which descends to the Rainforest Walkway and myrtle beech forest. Some of the beech trees here could be up to 400 years old. Part of the walkway runs alongside the cascading waters of Cement Creek. After completing the walk we will head back into Warburton to have breakfast and have a walk along the Yarra River which is alive with native birds & ducks.. The Yarra River Walk is almost 3 kilometre long pathway along the river through the town centre and past river crossings including the iconic swingbridge in Story Reserve. Warburton is an attractive town on the Yarra River, nestled in a valley between heavily forested mountains and on the road to Mount Donna Buang. On our way out of Warburton we will visit the picturesque La La Falls access is via a 1½ kilometre long track which follows the course of Four Mile Creek through the Yarra State Forest. After leaving Warburton we head to Healesville Sanctuary which is one of Australia’s most recognised attractions, showcasing more than 200 species of Australian wildlife, only 30 minute drive from Warburton. Get closer to Australia’s wildlife, featuring unique experiences with kangaroos, koalas and amazing birds of prey. Check on the progress of animals being cared for at the Australian Wildlife Health Centre. You will experience Australian flora and fauna at its best that’s for shore. After leaving the Sanctuary we head to Yarra Glen where on the way we visit Tarra Warra Museum plus do wine tasting at some of the Yarra Valley's famous Winery's and also visit Melbourne’s largest range of Teas and Teapots at Tea Leaves. Return to Melbourne CBD at approx 5.30 pm Trip:
