All fares include meals as per itinerary code: (B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch and (D) Dinner. (S) Showers, (L) Laundry, (T) Toilets, (Bc) Bushcamp. All camping, accommodation costs and entrance fees as per itinerary. Tents and 2 inch high density foam mattresses on camping safaris.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED (unless otherwise stated in the itinerary) Accommodation, meals, fares en route from home cities. Meals, unless specifically mentioned on day to day itinerary, any personal items such as drinks, newspapers, telephone, laundry, souvenirs, personal and holiday insurance. Fuel levy may apply. Camping Equipment for hire: Sleeping bag: $ 15.00 for the duration of the safari, Sheet: $ 5.00 for the duration of the safari, Pillow: $ 5.00 for the duration of the safari, Camp Bed: $ 36.00 for the duration of the safari. Optional tour of an open cut bauxite mine available in Weipa at an additional cost of $ 40.00 per person. This tour needs to be pre-booked at least 2 weeks prior to departure.

Pick up from Cairns CBD hotel accommodation. At least one week prior to your tour departure, please confirm your accommodation with head office by phoning us using the details provided on your booking confirmation. Our head office will contact the reception of your accommodation ONE day prior to the tour departure and leave a message with confirmation of your pick up time, when applicable. Guests staying outside of Cairns CBD are required to make their own transfer arrangements at their own expense. We will advise you of a suitable pick up location.
What to bring:
Casual gear is a must. You will need 3 to 4 changes of clothing. T-shirts, jeans, shorts, bathers, bath and hand towel, a pair of rubber soled shoes or joggers, a warm jumper or jacket, hat, torch, sleeping bag, pillow, insect repellent and toiletries. A track suit is most useful, too.
Fitness level required:
Children 14 years of age and under, on all overland camping safaris 10% off adult fare. Children 11 years of age and under, on overland camping safaris 15% off adult fare. Tours are not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

DAY 1 CAIRNS β COOKTOWN (LD)
After an early morning pick up from your accommodation your adventure begins. Travelling north along the scenic Captain Cook Highway, through the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. Then making our way along the jungle shrouded Bloomfield Track (road conditions permitted), stopping off at the unique Lionβs Den Hotel, and the mysterious Black Mountain, arriving at the old gold port of Cooktown. Visit Captain Cooks Landing and Grassy Hill Lookout. Overnight accommodation in Cooktown β ensuite facilities
DAY 2 COOKTOWN - LAKEFIELD NATIONAL PARK - MUSGRAVE (BLD)
Heading west into the outback, we travel over the legendary Battle Camp Range to the Old Laura Homestead and Lakefield National Park (toad conditions permitted). An amalgamation of 3 huge cattle stations, now a haven for the many birds and animals native to this area. Lagoons, billabongs, and wide river lakes are home to both fresh and saltwater crocodiles. The afternoon finds us arriving at our overnight permanent campsite at The Old Musgrave Telegraph Station. (ST)
DAY 3 MUSGRAVE - COEN β ARCHER RIVER β WEIPA (BLD)
After breakfast, we continue north stopping off at the historic frontier gold town of Coen and the picturesque Archer River, before making our way to the bauxite-mining town of Weipa. Our permanent campsite is located close to the beach, where you can enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Gulf of Carpentaria. (STL)
DAY 4 WEIPA - WENLOCK RIVER β BRAMWELL STATION (BD)
This morning you may wish to take an informative tour of the Weipa mining operation (own expense) or just relax by the pool. After lunch, we head for our overnight permanent camp site at a true blue Aussie cattle station, Bramwell Station. (ST)
DAY 5 BRAMWELL β FRUIT BAT FALLS β CAPE YORK (BLD)
After an early start, we head north travelling along part of the Old Telegraph Track to arrive at Fruit Bat Falls for lunch. Relax, swim, and enjoy this unique area with its enchanting waterfall. Then northwards across the Jardine River, to arrive at Cape York! We will be staying at Seisia out our permanent pre-erected base camp. Seisia is ideally located for our next few days, being in walking distance from the Seisia Wharf, the departure point for the ferry to Thursday Island and a famous fishing spot. (STL)
DAY 6 CAPE YORK - SOMERSET (BLD)
An unforgettable day! Stand at the very top of mainland Australia. We then visit Somerset (road conditions permitted), once the home of the legendary Jardine family and lunch on palm fringed Anchorage Beach which overlooks the Albany Passage. A walk on the beach completes your day before returning to base. (STL)
DAY 7 CAPE YORK β THURSDAY ISLAND - CAIRNS (B)
An early morning departure as we cruise through island studded straits to explore our northern community, Thursday Island. Here you will be taken on a informative guided bus tour of the island and its picturesque Harbour, once home to the romantic pearl lugger fleet. Then board your plane at Horn Island for your flight back to Cairns. ETA to be advised.
