Chateau Tanunda
This tour is designed for the more serious wine lover in mind and will give a brilliant cross-section of the finest wines the Barossa Valley has to offer.
Jacob's Creek Visitor Centrer is our first winery stop for the day and no better way to start - we taste a range of their award winning wines in their fascinating visitor's centre.
Maggie Beer's Farm Shop (a highlight) where you can tempt your taste buds with some of Maggie's famous products or purchase to enjoy later, browse the shop full of wonderful items and produce. At the Farm Shop we are also able to try wines under the Beer Bros label.
Wolf Blass Visitor Centre is our venue for lunch. A wine tasting first - maybe you might enjoy a wine that you purchase a glass of to have with your lunch. We enjoy a gourmet regional platter of locals meats, cheeses and other local produce followed by cake & tea/coffee. Relax and indulge in delicious food and premium wines.
Langmeil Estate provides us a tour of their 160 year old Shiraz vineyards and the Estate's historic buildings. A fabulous way to learn all about the area, the winery and the processes involved from start to finish.
Our last winery stop for the day is at Chateau Tanunda, one of Australia's oldest historic winery buildings. They offer a structured tasting of their fine range of wines. There may also be a chance to sample wines from some of the Barossa's small winemakers (when present). OPTIONAL HIGHLIGHT (extra cost) - Why not try a 35 minutes Oztrike Ride taking in some extra views of the Barossa - conditions apply.
