YOU WILL NEED: Your ‘Referral’ paperwork, as issued by the Dive Instructor who completed your pool and theory. An Australian Standards medical. See notes following. Two passport photos Swimmers, hat, towel, sunscreen, change for soft drinks. The Australian Government requires a Dive Medical to be completed by a doctor familiar with dive practices and in compliance with Australian standards AS4005.1 to be passed before you can begin your Open Water training dives. A Dive medical can be completed at The Cairns 24 Hour Medical centre on the corner of Grafton and Florence Street. The medical fee is AU$50.00. A dive medical can be done at any time and an appointment is not necessary. Please note that a history of asthma, diabetes or epilepsy may cause you to fail the dive medical.
Marine Park Levy and Port & Administration fees of $10 per person per day payable on board.

Tour Description
You will join the Tusa Dive Day Trip for two days in order to complete your four required 4 open water training dives and acquire a PADI International Dive Certification.
Tusa 5 departs daily from Cairns Marlin Marina to two outer reef destinations. A 90 minute journey to the outer reef will see you arriving at the first of the day’s two sites, selected from a range of 15. Sites are chosen as the optimum locations for the weather conditions, and change daily, so each day will bring you a whole new underwater adventure. Once at the reef, 2 open water training dives wil be completed each day with one of Tusa's experienced PADI Instructors. 5 hours at the reef will also allow you plenty of time to enjoy some snorkelling and topside activities.

2 DAY PADI OR SSI (UNIVERSAL) OPEN WATER REFERRAL COURSE
What better way to complete your dive training than in the clear, warm waters of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef! If you have already completed the pool & theory component of your PADI dive course, Tusa Dive can complete your dive training with our two day PADI or SSI Open Water Referral Courses.
The course requires you to join the Tusa Dive day trip for two day tours in order to complete your four required open water training dives and acquire your PADI or SSI Open Water Certification. Each day you will visit two unique outer reef destinations, selected as the days best for the weather conditions. You may be required to do a little further training on the way to the reef, and upon arrival you will take your training dives with one of Tusa's experienced PADI or SSI Instructors. Each dive (weather permitting) will be at a new location. Nearly 5 hours at the reef will also allow you plenty of time to enjoy some snorkelling, relax on board and enjoy the Reef Interpretation presentation.
