Departing at around 8am from the Star Coach Terminal in Pyrmont (or earlier from your Sydney hotel) you will settle into your comfortable tour bus seat as you head out to experience the best of Sydney.
Located on the lower North Shore, Milsons Point is a scenic suburb and home to some of Sydney's most exclusive homes, schools, cafes, restaurants and boutique stores. Many of the buildings within Milsons Point have been historically preserved from as early as the 1800s, making the sweeping views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour even more interesting.
Named after the first Indigenous person to live amongst the European settlers, Arabanoo Lookout's fascinating history and stunning views make this place well worth the visit. Scenery includes views over the Pacific Ocean to the North and South Head and occasionally, you may even spot a whale!
Famous Manly Beach is the perfect place to relax and take in the sights of the ocean and Manly's foreshore. After strolling through the golden sand and getting your toes wet in the surf, why not treat yourself to a delicious morning tea at one of the local cafes (own expense)?
Once home to the Indigenous Gadigal people, The Rocks was then claimed by the Europeans in 1788 and much of the original layout still remains. This vibrant spot is situated at the base of the Harbour Bridge and is full of world-class restaurants, historical pubs, boutique stores and art galleries. You will be able to explore this region and marvel at the historical buildings.
Sydney's iconic Harbour Bridge connects the north shore to the southern shore. The colloquially named "coat hanger" was opened in 1932 and is the world's largest steel arch bridge. This integral Sydney landmark is one of the city's most photographed attractions and you too can grab a winning shot from your vantage point at The Rocks.
A city just isn't a city without a Chinatown and Sydney's Chinatown is one of the best. Situated right in the heart of the city, Chinatown is a lively hive of activity with restaurants, street food stalls, noodle bars, Asian produce stores and bargain markets lining the beautifully decorated avenue. You will feel like you are actually in China while you explore this amazing place!
Mrs. Macquarie's Chair
Mrs. Macquarie's Chair is actually a sandstone platform with a hand-crafted bench hewn from it, carved by convicts in 1810. The name of this picturesque location as well as Mrs. Macquarie's Point was derived from the fact that the wife of the then NSW Governor favoured this spot for its spectacular views. Visit here and see what all the fuss is about.
The Gap is located at the entrance of Sydney Harbour and is a majestic cliff that overlooks the eastern coast. You will want to ensure you have brought your camera, because views of the coastline are spectacular from here!
Sydney's Bondi beach isn't just a popular location, itt is an institution of the Aussie lifestyle! This bustling beach is one of the most famous beaches on the planet and it's not difficult to see why - the golden sand and cool, clear surf will enchant you almost immediately. Enjoy afternoon tea (own expense) at one of the many cafes lining the shore.
You also have the option of upgrading your tour with a Sydney Harbour luncheon cruise, featuring a scrumptious buffet lunch and commentary. After your cruise, you will be escorted to your coach tour.
