Driving along gorgeous coastal vistas, your first stop will be to a local wildlife conservation park, where you’ll get to meet some of the most loved native wildlife species in Australia. Meet some iconic species, such as kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, birds and reptiles, as well as some rare and endangered animals, such as the Southern Bettong and Eastern Quolls, among others. While at this excellent park, you’ll be able to snuggle up to a koala for a photo and hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies.
The historically significant Churchill Island will delight you, with a sheep shearing demonstration and late 1800s farm, cottages and homestead for you to explore. You will enjoy the stunning views while you stroll along Cape Woolamai surf beach, the boardwalk at the Nobbies, as well as at the Blowhole and Seal Rocks.
Your next stop will be the world-renowned Penguin Parade, where you’ll first visit the Penguin Complex and Education Centre. Here, you can educate yourself about the Little Penguin (Fairy Penguin) colony and learn about their daily lives. There is also a souvenir shop where you can buy a penguin-themed gift to take home with you.
Finally, you’ll see the highlight of the tour – the Little Penguins at the Penguin
Parade! Watch in amazement as these gorgeous little penguins waddle up from the surf and interact with each other and their environment, before settling down in their comfortable sand dune burrows for the night. This is a truly memorable experience that will delight people of all ages.
At the end of your tour, you’ll jump back on the coach and head back to Melbourne, being dropped off at around 10 pm (winter months) or midnight (summer months).
