Tour Description
Travel to the award winning Rainforestation Nature Park by coach via the scenic Kuranda Range.
A collection of unique experiences awaits.
Ride an amphibious Army Duck through the rainforest - a unique experience on both land and water. An experienced driver/guide will explain the mysteries of the ancient ferns and trees and spot a variety of native fauna normally difficult to see.
Meander through the Tropical Fruit Orchard featuring over 40 local and international exotic, tropical fruit trees.
Visit the Koala and Wildlife Park and come face to face with crocodiles, hand feed barramundi or kangaroos and wallabies. View other native species, including rainforest pythons, cassowaries and dingoes.
Take the opportunity to cuddle a koala and have your photograph taken (optional extra)
In the rainforest amphitheatre witness the dynamic performance of the Pamagirri Aboriginal Dancers. The amphitheatre is a totally natural setting - no special effect or lighting is used - the rainforest serves as the theatre walls and the sounds of the forest and the didgeridoo create the backing music!
The Dreamtime Walk provides a comprehensive introduction to Aboriginal and Island culture and history with practical experiences including boomerang lessons and spear throwing.
Later depart Rainforestation for your transfer into Kuranda Village and wander through the many shops and local markets.
Return to Cairns via the scenic Kuranda Range.
